Proper maintenance supports structural integrity and riding safety. Because pit bikes are frequently used on dirt tracks, trails, and uneven terrain, rims are exposed to impact forces and debris.

• Inspect spoke tension regularly

Spoked rims rely on balanced spoke tension to maintain shape. Loose spokes can cause wheel wobble or rim distortion. Checking tension periodically helps preserve alignment.

• Check for rim dents or cracks

After riding on rocky surfaces or landing jumps, inspect the rim edges for visible deformation. Minor bends may affect tire sealing in tubeless setups.
